Apokolips was name given to the two planet of the Parademon. Ruled by the dictatorial/theocratic god/demon Darkseid and his main counsel, DeSaad, the Parademons who lived there were willing to die for their leader. The Parademons were all part of Apokolips' army, which was initially headed by Steppenwolf and later Kalibak.
History[]
Ruled by Darkseid, Apokolips was a deadly demonic and hellish planet that existed outside the worlds of the Bleed and much before the Lost Timelines. Relatively unchanged by the Crisis, Apokolips remained constant until the Flashpoint, which changed even Apokolips. With history being rewritten and the emanations of the New Gods, including Darkseid rising, eventually Apokolips rose out of the ashes of the world of the Old Gods. Ruled with an iron fist, the planet invaded several others in an effort to find their leader's daughter while also waging a war with New Genesis that was stopped by Metron. When the army of Parademons reached Earth, they were defeated by a team that later came to be known as the Justice League. The League ended up on Apokolips twice afterwards, though Steppenwolf failed to defeat them again before being stranded on Earth 2.
